Folk Art Fairground Ferris Wheel Scratch Built Model

£595.00

A 1960’s folk art scratch built model of a Ferris Wheel fairground ride. Possibly made for a toy shop window. Designed to make an impact it has 12 swinging cars. Naive decoration in colourful house paints, although simple construction the seats move when the wheel turns. It has used an erupting volcano theme for decoration,

In vintage working order, the wheel is chain driven using a 12v windscreen wiper motor. I have run the model using a 12v battery charger. The original base board is unstable and the chain can come loose when running, I will make and fix the Ferris Wheel to a new base board if required or the wheel can be brought “as is” for authenticity. Wood and metal construction, some lights not working.
The model is 110cm high x 49cm wide x 105cm deep
