Delivery & terms of service

Condition and Caring for your Vintage and Restored pieces. Our vintage items show the rich diversity of their life with the scuffs and dinks of years of use, we minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible. Please make sure you look at the photographs on our website to satisfy yourself with the condition before the item is shipped. We do our very best to describe and photograph every piece to cover vintage wear & tear but please call us and we can talk you through the piece or send you more photographs.

We cannot give any performance or safety guarantees. We ask you to conduct your own safety assessment, in particular for items that will be used in a commercial situation.

Our furniture should be used. The upholstery fabrics we use on our fully restored pieces are very hardy and durable, made to withstand daily life, all our fabric manufacturers offer advice on keeping the fabric in good condition.

Electrical Items. All vintage electrical goods should be inspected, certified and installed by a qualified electrician and protected by a "RCD".

Secure Payments. We accept the following methods of payment.

Stripe – Stripe is a fully encrypted & secure payment system that allows you to pay with a credit or debit card. We do not retain or see your card details.

Bank Transfer – If you prefer to pay via your internet banking system please contact us for details.

Vat. Where applicable, Vat is included in the purchase price.

Delivery. We include details of delivery costs to most of mainland UK in the item listing and will liaise with you to ensure delivery is as smooth as possible. Please call or email for quotes to Highland Scotland, Northern Ireland, UK Islands and for Worldwide shipping. All our large pieces show the dimensions. Please check that you can accommodate the item through access points.

International Delivery. We regularly send pieces abroad to our client base using internationally recognised shippers. The couriers we recommend are professional, reliable and offer an insured and secure service.

Packaging. We like recycling and where possible we will use recycled packaging. Although sometimes packaging may not be new all items are well wrapped and protected.

Collections and Viewing. It can be difficult to shop online, if you want to view or collect items do not hesitate to get in touch to make an appointment. Our workshop is located near Ware in rural Hertfordshire.

Returns. We hope you will be happy with your purchase but we value our customers’ satisfaction and so will exchange or refund any item if it is returned within 14 days of delivery. We would ask you to contact us in the first instance if you are planning to return an item. Any goods being returned must be received by us in the same condition as they were sent out and include the original packing materials. We only accept returns from the person who bought the item. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping and insurance. Where we have included the cost of the initial delivery to you in the total sale price, if you return the item we will deduct the cost of the original delivery from the amount refundable.

We do our best to describe and identify the maker and age of a piece but this is based on general knowledge or experience. We cannot accept returns for unverified disputes on age, maker or provenance, any dispute would need to be settled by a mutually agreed third party expert.

Privacy. We respect your privacy rights. Any customers records, e-mails and payment details are strictly private and confidential, we do not share customer details and never pass on details to any third party organisations.
