Bahaus Miniture Marcel Breuer Cesca Chairs

A miniture tinplate set of 4 Cesca chairs and a dining table in blue enamel. Marcel Breuer designed the Cesca chair in 1928, the chair design exploits the properties unique to the cantilevered tubular steel frame which gives the chair its added flexibility and comfort. Marcel Breuer’s exploration the Bauhaus ideas of combining traditional craftsmanship with industrial methods and materials helped to make tubular steel furniture an international sensation in the 30’s.

Excellent blue enamel finish, 1930s, there is some corrosion to the tubular metal frames.
