Reclaimed Grain Wharf Timbers

£795.00

Incredible set of reclaimed grain wharf timbers. Large scale Opepe timbers rescued from sea defence works on the River Yare in Great Yarmouth. A new sea wall 2 metre higher was required to keep the town safe from the predicted rising sea levels. Opepe is an immensely strong timber used in marine work for piling wharves and docks.
In fabulous sea worn condition from decades of grain ships docking at the wharf, great colour with rusted angles and plates.

Huge presence for landscapes, seating, follies or whatever. The Opepe is untreated and safe to use in bio sensitive locations, Opepe requires little maintenance minimizing long term disturbance.

60cm x 35cm x 430cm long x approx 800Kgs each
