A Victorian or early 20th century cast iron sack weighing scales made by W&T Avery Ltd. First patented in 1879. In untouched condition with excellent patina and grain pattern to the wooden weighing plates. Both wheels fully working, the two swing out handles at the front are to move the scales around. A very interesting item that would make a great display prop or unique piece of furniture in the home.
